The idea

Welcome to Learning Rewired Lab.

If you work in learning and development, you have probably heard someone say, “We need training.” The question I like to ask first is what people actually need to do and what is getting in their way.

Here we talk about figuring out the problem before choosing a solution, building useful practice, supporting people after training, and making decisions that hold up outside the storyboard. Expect practical ideas, a little dry humor, and camera skills that improve with practice.

Take it into your work

Three things to consider.

  1. Understand the work.

Explore the tasks, decisions, constraints, and people involved before choosing a response.

  2. Design useful practice and support.

Think about how people learn, what they need to try, and where they will go for help.

  3. Keep asking better questions.

Talk through technology, AI, feedback, and stakeholder decisions with a practical lens.

Try this

First

Start with a familiar challenge: a training request, an overflowing slide deck, or a quiz that tells you too little.

Then

Take one question or idea into your work. Subscribe on YouTube to keep the conversation going.

Take the thinking further.
